A Typical TRAVLIN' TEXANS Rally
Individual rallymasters plan and run each rally.  Rallies vary somewhat according to local tourism opportunities, campground facilities and the rallymasters' preferences.  However, common activities include --
Special activities sometimes include entertainment -- local talent or some of our more talented members.

Usually, lots of "free time" is included.  During these periods, members can choose to join a game of dominoes or cards (there always seems to be one or more going on), go shopping with friends, take in local tourist attractions, or just take a nap.

Rallies revolve around campground "rally rooms".    All our rally sites are selected to ensure that the campground has a rally room which we reserve.  Group meals are served here, entertainment and business meetings are held here.  And, the rally room becomes the social center -- with members playing games, visiting, or getting up groups to go see local sights or go shopping.

We spend a lot of time playing games together and visiting.  Newcomers are welcome and someone will teach you the game and coach you along as you learn it.  Also, new games are always welcome.
Some people take dominoes seriously,
and some don't

Rally fees are a maximum of $55.   Rally registration forms are mailed to all members and prospective members who have requested a registration form.  Rallymasters set a due date for registrations so that they can plan meals and activities.  Late registration is allowed (even at the rally), but a late registration fee of $ 5 is charged.  See "Rally Dates" to see our rally dates.

Each family must also pay for their own campsite -- usually at a discounted group rate.  Rally fees cover several meals, sometimes decorations and prizes, sometimes entertainment, etc.
